HHT-2660 Roto choke Cover missing

I need a replacement roto choke cover for Homelite HHT-2660 Hedge Trimmer

    The cover screws on and for some reason dislodged the first time I used it and was discarded with the hedge cuttings. I have been unable to source a replacement.

Almost all are 2 stroke. If it has a place for oil togo into the motor-like a dipstick, it’s 4 stroke. If there’s no place for engine oil, you mix your petrol with 2stroke oil. Haven’t heard the term petrol in a while!

Need to find where air cleaner is ?
If your unit has one, it would be in front of the carburetor. Some Ryobis and Homelite trimmers do not have an air filter on them, just a screen inside the choke cover.

My homelite gas trimmer wont stay running seems to want to choke itself out,it will stay running off and on if you keep messing with the choke knob wont idle unless i set the adjustment screw high
Sounds like the carburetor needs a cleaning and rebuild. Make sure that you replace the diaphrams also while there.

How do i start my homelite ht -17 hedge trimmer
it sounds like your throttle cable is to long i have the same problem with mine... when starting up pull the throttle full on with your finger whilst you have it set on choke. best to do this on a very flat surface.

Backwards chainsaw blade
You remove the two nuts that hold the bar on, then the cover will come off. Don't forget to loosen the adjusting screw next to the bar to loosen it. Also, don't forget that once these two nuts are off, the bar will come off as well.

Good Day, mate. The best I can see is contacting homelite at www.homelitepower.co.uk. They have contact information on this page, however they do not show IPL(ilustrated parts list) and I am not sure the same information would be relavent to units here in the states.
