Question about Dryers
With the side panel off the noise seemed to be coming from the motor bearing but having removed the motor it feels OK (no load of course). What is the most likely cause?
If the motor is ok the next thing I would check is the felt strip which is on the rear of the drum and is usually glued down. When this gets worn the noise can be really intolerable. You can buy new felt but the drum has to be removed in order to replace it. Not a fun job!
