PDA would not turn on...

Hi! My PDA seems to be in an off mode/ sleep mode or something. It won't turn on regardless of what I do. If I don't connect it to an AC Adapter or place in the cradle where it is connect to a power outlet - the power button doesn't work even if the battery was fully charged; however, if I somehow connect it to an power outlet - the power button would turn green but nothing would appear on the touch screen as if it had never been turn on. I try resetting it but it still wouldn't work. Can anyone help me with this problem? Have anyone encounter the similiar problem? Thanks!

Re: PDA would not turn on...

Hard reset the pda (poke the little hole on the back with a ball pen or something), it should boot up, on the bootup screen, it prompts if you want to reset to factory setting, answer no. lastly reset time when you get in.

Re: PDA would not turn on...

I made my I-Mate PDA-N working finally. I guess the key is to use original charger to charge the battery.

I finally noticed I used my Motorola cell charger to charge my PDA. It was working for long time, but not now. So I found my PDA charger and charged my PDA. Yeah! My PDA is back to work now. (The new battery I ordered few days ago is still on the way to my home :((((( ).

Won't charge fully

Hi jbanfill12,

To fully charge the reader it will take approximatelly 4 hours using a PC and 2 Hours using the wall charger ACS5220 for your PRS600.

Note: Make sure the computer does not go into sleep mode, if so, then the battery of the reader will drain out instead of charge.

My dell axim x51v is frozen where says"tap the screen to set up...", nothing happen when tap screen , seems to be in locked position.  Problem started suddenly, after it was charging on craddle ,...

On the left side of the pda is a little slide button with a lock symbol on it, make sure it is slid down. This button is a key/screen lock to ensure you dont push any buttons accidentally.

Tungsten E2 will not power on

The Tungsten is an excellent PDA
You do have to be careful with how you handle it if you've dropped it too many times or set it down too hard or whatever something inside will get cracked or disconnected.
So you may want to open it up (personally I use a really small screwdriver but there is a kit for 9.95 on that comes with a Shim like tool that is really useful for splitting the Tungsten open because its not easy getting it open and closed)any way open the back up and make sure everything is connected and clean especially the connectors to the screen, battery and USB/charging plugs. You may also need to try charging it overnight. If you haven't run the PDA in a while its going to read a full charge regardless of how much of a charge its actually holding. Also, there are alot of other places to get A PDA repaired do a little research and find a place near you that will repair a PDA. An official Palm repair is almost always going to cost you more than anywhere else.

Acer n300 wont sync

you also have a connection manager on the PDA Itself ( Active sync ) Try syncing from the PDA as Well As The Computer Active Sync Program.
Also make sure if you have a firewall, you allow the PDA into it as a trusted Device.
Mike @ Compurepair.
1 more thing, try on/off the PDA whilst in sync mode.
Hope This Helps.

PDA displays only a white Screen

I recently replace my lcd and initially had that problem.  I fixed it by reseating the cable that connects the motherboard to the main phone piece.  (its the cable that is about 1/2 an inch wide and is very short, barely wraps around motherboard).  Reseat that and your white screen issue should be fixed)

Imate jam PDA automatically switches off if not used for sometime

check your settings for "Power save" mode or sleep settings...else, look for a small pinhole to reset the device

Dell Axim X51V

I have the same problem. I've found that the Innopocket magnum case will hold the cover in place and pretty much stop it doing this. Unfortunately, the case won't fit if you have an extended battery. I've tried taping down the cover with some success, but the hard case worked better.

Data recovery after battery disconnect

You are absolutely right. The “SD WIFI+256 MB” don’t work properly. Unfortunately there is no software that can re-establish your data again. You must be very carefully and always make data back up using SD card. This is the best and securest way to save all your data.

Connection problem

Have you considered software running in the background on your computer? Usually firewall/anti-virus software can block the connection. If you are running any Norton or McAfee products, it is likely the cause. Try disabling them, or boot into safe mode with networking support and see if the PDA responds from here. Safe mode loads a minimal set of drivers and no startup programs. Goodluck!
