You need to replace the oven ignitor. The ignitor has to draw enough current to open the gas valve. Your ignitor is either broke or not working properly, so the ignitor will not lite the oven.

Hello need help on my armani oven #arg7300LL oven and broiler do not go on?

Ok yes, it may be the thermostat.(It is the control and the tube that runs down inside the oven.) Give a few minutes and I'll post back....

We have a ceramic top electric Frigidaire model GLEF378CCS. Neither the broil or bake elements work in the oven. Stovetop elements are fine.

check all wiring connections, if ok ohm out oven thermostat, if thermostat ok, ohm out oven elements and if ok, check voltage at oven elements. isolate problem.

I have a GE XL44 gas range. My Broiler goes on then off, on then off what could it be?

if this is a self cleaning model with the broiler at the top of the oven then i would guess that you may have an ignitor going out. is the bake working ok?

if this is not a self cleaning model and the broiler pan is underneath the oven then it uses the same burner as the bake. if this is the case you should also be having trouble with the bake function.

Bake does not work but broiler does.

OK, it is likley that the oven ignitor isn't working and needs to be replaced. To verify if this is the problem, when you turn on the oven to BAKE and set the temp at say, 350. Watch through the window, (or you can have the door open). Look at the bottom, back, center and see if you see a bright orange glow appearing under the bottom panel.

If you don't, that is why the oven won't lit the gas. There is an ignitor for both the broiler burner at the top and for the bake burner in the oven compartment.

The reason that the temp display reverts to 100 degrees is because that is the lowest default temp setting for the display and until the oven temp actually starts to increase, it won't change. So the temp display is working correctly for the BAKE function.

Here's a line drawing showing the part you may need. Ignitor Part # WB13T10045. The good news is that your oven uses the same ignitor for both the broiler and bake burner tubes, so you could swap them if you wish to confirm that is the problem before you go and order/buy a new one. These aren't cheap at $91 bucks, but you can shop around the web for a better price if you determine you need one.

Sometimes the ignitor burns out half way through but because it still lits/glows, people think it's OK, but it won't get hot enough to signal the gas valve to open and allow gas to ignite and get the oven cooking.

Hope this helps you out and remember to disconnect the oven from the electric power before performing any repair work. Best regards!

Hi...need help with my oven it won't heat up

If your surface burners work and the broiler operates normally, more than likely you have a failed igniter on your bake manifold. There are two separate igniters on your oven. One is for bake, and one is for broil. This is a common failure, due to the fact that the bake function gets used more often than broil. I found your part listed at repairclinic.com. Just type in your model number and the igniter is listed as item number 1990. For instructions on how to replace the igniter, click on the following link:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r401858-replacing_oven_igniter_gas_range

Just make sure you turn off the gas and unplug the range before starting any repairs. If you require further assistance, please let me know. I hope this information is helpful to you.
