Pale margin on copy

Lexmark 4350
When copying a document, b/w or colour, there is a band on the leading edge with no ink fading into perfect copy.
Nothing I do seems to rectify this: realigning & cleaning heads come up with perfect results.

443 > start > adjust value (for LCF)

Trying to copy a letter size document. Print on right side of document starts fading at about 2" from right side of paper edge

Check the scanner glass for dirt, or debris from previous scans. Smoke on mirrors, dust all contribute. Dont use canned air.

The colour is not printing anywhere near the same as the image, its very yellow I have done the cleaning and the test print shows the blue to be very pale and I have tried 3 new ink cartridges, I did print...

Great job on cleaning the cartridges and even trying 3 new ink cartridges. Pretty much you did the basic troubleshooting already. This looks like a hardware problem but I strongly suggest you contact Lexmark technical support to further investigate the problem. Thanks.

Text hard to read very faded.think its dust how do i clean it

Dust does not cause fading on printouts

Poor Ink supply or dirty head does

Check in your screen software for the head cleaning program and use it

Are you using Lexmark cartridges or copies, if you are using copies the software cannot see them and does not report a low level

If you are using genuine or really good copies then you may need to use a head cleaning cartridge

try for infrormation on the above

One inch black band with copying

I think the scanner has crud or dust on the reader. You likely want a "pro" to clean it.

Make sure your tray settings are correct. most likely though the paper tray lead edge registration has to be set. Make sure the tray is not set to 8 1/2 by 11 or A3 paper.
Do you want me to send you the info? Or if you have a maintenance agreement place a service call since that has to be done in diagnostics.
But I can forward that procedure to you if you provide an E-mail address.

Old Polaroid photos

Having photographic quality copy prints made will give you far longer life than the original Polaroid. Polaroid colour dyes will shift colours and eventually fade dramatically. New photographic (and some ink jet) prints will last generations without noticeable fading.
