Usually, washing machine comes with fixing bolts in the back (for transport only). Check it out if were removed before operating. Usually, there are 3 or 4 of them, with some coloured plastic washers. In the instruction manual also is a note about them.

Magic Chef washing machine getting out of balance

it is a sign that the dampeners on the ends of the tub suspension or support rods have failed
A pack of 4 cost around $80.00 and with a technician doing the job can be done in 15 minutes
with you doing the job , around 1 hour unless you can get the spares people to explain how it is done
get the spares from the service agent spares
any unbalance gets out of control unless it is got under control very early and that is what these dampeners are designed to do and 4-5 years is the design life expectancy

Whirlpool washer does not start after fill with water

It sounds like the washer tub is off balanced. When it is, it will usually not start. Underneath the washer, there are 3 or 4 bolts or nuts, depending on your washer model, that hold the washer to these balance springs. make sure that the bolts or nuts are tight or secure. If this doesn't help, get on a website called Repairclinic.com. They usually will help with home repairs.

Good luck. Mine did the same and they sent their technicians out to fix the problem. A&E comes out and replaces the tub ring. They told me the washer is now made with the tub ring in place. When he opened the washer up I noticed I now have rust inside my washer. I have spent a month trying to get Whirlpool to replace my washer but they will only replace parts. A&E came out to replace the tub ring and now my door creaks and my washer does not go back together correctly. Hopefully you can justreturn the washer to where you got it. Read other reviews on line. It sounds like this washer is a lemon. Sorry!

sounds like you have abadrear bearing, not cost effective to repair by you, parts have a 5-10 yrs warr, you would need to check your manual, usuallt wind up replacing, the rear drum, inner basket, without warr theese parts are probalby 650 dollars. so i would call an authorized servicer(whirlpool wont send you parts even though they're warr)

Have you checked the agitator? There may be sharp edges on the agitator blades. OR the towels may be getting stuck under the agitator and tub bottom. The agitator is supposed to suck the clothing down in the center and forcibly throw the clothing outwards against the tub. The cycle then repeats.
