Problem is a bit general, I guess though you have a problem where the ps3 turns on, then get a yellow light then back off again? or comes on to just a red light? or even light stays green but you get nothing.
If the light is green it could be two things, could be resolutions settings or a motherboard fault, 1st you should see if its just resolution.
when you turn the system on and you get a beep press and hold the power button for 5 seconds and you will hear another beep, at this point let go of the button and the ps3 will after a few moments go to its lowest resolution settings. but after a minute you get nothing on screen then you may well have a problem with your ps3.
You need to have the motherboard fixed, do to so you need to take the PS3 apart then reflow the board....

...there is a great 6part video guide on YouTube to view for free. 6 videos from the same fellow, each video about 10mins long, goes over everything for you.

http://www.youtube.com/user/gilksy1 and its free unlike some eBook site.

I actually used the videos shown by this guy to fix about 30 PS3 units with no problems, you just need a few things though like a heat gun and some thermal paste. sounds hard, but it's very easy once you start!

Hope this helps in some way.

My Compaq EVO d510 SFF won't boot, it does only about 5% of the time and when it does nothing appears on the screen, no sounds, the fan and everthing runs, the screen works and all cables work so any help?

1. does it at least turn on? do you see lights?? if you don't chances are you may need to replace the power supply.
2. if it does turn on.. do you hear any beeps.. could you describe how many beeps, how long are each one of them, if you get beeps, it's the motherboard usually letting you know about a hardware problem.

3. if it does turn on and no picture, (not even the very first picture with a motherboard/video brand/computer manufacturer) you may have a video card problem. I suggest you start replacing that item first.

hope it gives you an idea on where to start looking
good luck!

Three beeps when i try to turn it on

i had the same problem a while back. I fooled around with my camera lens a bit and it turned out that one side of the lens was sticking out a bit. I pressed down on this and pushed the power button and it worked. The next time I turned it on the same thing happened but if you keep doing the same thing it should work.

Hope this helps!

Canon powershot s410 problem

Hello there,
The E18 error is related to the LENS not able to retract fully. If it is still under warranty, I would advise you bring it to the nearest service center. This is to avoid further damages. Otherwise, you can try a few things below.
There are a couple of things you can do.
1. Turn it on and then off. Spray canned air around the lens.
If trick 1 will not work out, try this.
2. Make sure the battery is fully charged. Turn on the camera and then give it a couple of firm whacks on the side. Make sure nothing is blocking the lens and wait for it to fully retract.
Let me know how it goes.

There are a few things you can try first. If your system was previously working but now doesen't show video. try to remember if you changed any settings on the ps3 or did anything with your television different, video mode ect. If you havent been able to get a picture the whole time your ps3 may be set for a different video mode than your currect set up. If this is the case try turning off the ps3, then holding the power button until you hear a few beeps. Each beep is the ps3 changing video modes hdmi/component/composite/s-video. try this and see if you get picture.

Hope this helps.

Polaroid i834 turns off imediately after turning turning on.

I had the same problem until just a while ago, when I realized that the lens was tweaked. It was stuck. So I turned the camera on and gave the inside part a yank before it turned off again. It took me a couple of tries but eventually the lens corrected itself and now my camera works fine. If you do it a couple of times and then start to hear three rapid beeps (sounds like 'be-du-dum') before the other three beeps (beep... beep... beep) then your getting somewhere. Hope this helps.

Ps3 not working

Is there sound? If so, then maybe your video settings got mixed up. Try the video reset.

When the PS3 is in standby mode (red LED lit), hold the Power "button" until it beeps for booting, keep holding until it beeps again (not to turn it off).

If done correctly you should see something again (480p resolution) allowing you to change settings.

I hope this will help you out.

Greetings,

DarkNeogen.

Beep

The Polaroid Fun! Digital 320 camera is programmed to shut off automatically after a few minutes if it is not being used. This helps to conserve battery power. When the camera shuts itself off, it will make a continual beeping sound. To use the camera after it has shut off, simply push the shutter button or self-timer button to take a picture. If you are not going to use your camera, turn the power switch to OFF. The camera will also beep in rapid sequence after you press the self-timer button. The camera will continue to beep in faster sequence until a picture is taken (approximately 10 seconds). A final long beep signals that a picture has been taken. NOTE: It is normal for the camera to beep while downloading photos to a computer.
