If your speaking of the topic GE air conditioner, then it sounds like the control panel has failed. There is not way to turn the display on or off.

5 ton goodman package unit not coming on

If you look on the install manual. It says it will work for a heat pump without backup heat. No heat strips.........If you do not have strips the guide says as follows

"PLACE A JUMPER (PIECE OF WIRE) BETWEEN Y AND W IF YOU ARE USING A HEAT PUMP WITHOUT AUXILIARY/BACKUP HEAT." if this dosnt work check the fuse in the air handler you may have blown it if you did not turn the unit off before installing.

My totaline p274-1200 was working fine came home and everything is blank like no power getting to it?? help please

Check the breakers, first. then let me know. It may have tripped on . If possible put a lamp inot the same plug you have the ac plugged into to verfiy that power is on. Let me know Jon

Carrier a/c thermostat was working fine, then display went blank!

if it has no batt I would ck transformer for 24to26 volts no voltage replece transformer be sure trans has 115 volts to it trans should be in furnace section

Thermostat inside home is completly blank and unit not working

If you dont have a lock on the service disconnect sometimes kids will pull the service shut off down. Or you can check the service disconnect Usually theres fuses in there that can blow. The breaker box can also be checked to see if it's tripped or not... try those solutions and I hope they will be helpful. Have a goood day! : )
