Tv connected via scart cables through dvd and virgin media box. Picture sometimes goes yellow the flickers then back to clear.Other times it can go red. Plays dvd's okay though. Is this a connection...

Hi there,
This will be a problem with either the Scart leads (9 times out of 10) or the virgin media box. Not a problem with the signal coming from Virgin Media. Try checking the scart leads are not loose, or looped through the wrong way.
Hope this helps

I want to transfer old VHS home movies to DVD on my Phillips VCR/DVD player - how can I do this? (or can I?)

Your dvd has to be able to record. This sounds like a dvd player only. I have recorded from a vcr through a usb 2.0 tv box to my computer, then burn a dvd. Hope this is helpful.

Connecting a dvd 250gb hard drive recorder to tv and virgin box

Right then, on the back of the virgin box there are 2 scart outlets, connect one scart from the TV scart port to the scart in on the DVD recorder, then connect one scart lead from the scart out on the DVD recorder to the TV.
Find the DVD recorder source channel on the TV and then use the DVD remote control to find the digital input on the DVD recorder, this is usually AUX channel.
Post back if you need any more help

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!

Problem connecting Samsung DVD-HR737 DVD recorder to Set Top Box

I had the same problem, if you go through the channels from your DVD-R remote it should give you the option AV-1 and then AV-2 ? on mine it's AV1 (test it out first and you have to watch what your recording) then it should record from the cable box

worth a try?

Do I still need an ouside ariel to tune in the channels on my dvd recorder despite having virgin media. I am currently using a hdmi cable and three scart leads to play a DVD and still cannot record...

You can only tune the channels if the recorder is connected to an aerial, however you can still record from the V-box connected to the recorder via scart, but you can only record the channel you are watching.
