It is also telling me that i need to restore my router's factory defaults. I don't know how to have it done. Can someone please help.

To restore factory defaults, press the reset button located at the back of the router for about 10 secs.

Cant connect to dir826l router

The easiest solution to this problem is to reset the router to the default factory settings. If you look on the back of the router, there should be a reset button. Normally, this is going to either be a small button, or a small hole with a recessed button inside of it. If it is a button, you can simply press it. If it is in the hole, you will need to use a straightened paper clip or something similar to push the button. Once this is complete, you will need to set the router up again just like when you first purchased it. This will allow you to set a new password.

You may need to reset your device and you will see a reset button at back of your router so all you need is to keep holding it for 10 seconds then unplug the power jack for like 1 min and then your device shall be reset. But please make sure to backup your all settings first.

It doesn't matter which port your PC is plugged into, the router will take care of that. You need to turn the wireless system on. You do this from inside the routers configuration pages which you access through your browser. Being a 2wire router, you may have to use the software on the 2wire website. Alternatively, you can try entering ip addresses into the browser address window. Try 198.162.1.1 or 198.162.0.1 etc
Once you access the router, turn wireless on and activate the security. Enter a code key and write it down as you will need to enter the same code into every PC or laptop that you wish to use the wireless connection. Setting up the wireless connection on your laptop is easy, just tell the laptop to search for available networks and when it finds the 2wire router, tell it to connect. It will then ask for the code key. Enter it and all should be well.

Hi! I have a D-link DIR 300 wireless router.. I have the same concern before. what I did is, I did the hard reset by pressing the reset button for 20secs and after 20secs and the reset button is still press, I unplug the power from the back of the router and after 2secs plug in while reset button is press and press it for 30secs.. after that I unplug the power and plug in after 15secs. It should work, then u need to setup again the router in order to talk to the modem, if not.. and the device is still under warranty it needs to be replace...pls call your router manufacturer for replacement or if its still under 30 days, go to the store were u purchase the router.

Youre E-mule is running koz your DHCP on the router is still running.
The problem is the connection whit Bezeq whitch is prity bad. Get in to the router setup and use automatic setings for connection tipe. That mean that the router can tell the modem to establish connection by himself evritime when is crash. Or just tell them that you need Aztech 600e whitch is the best from Bezeq now.
