Use Rubbing Alchohol on a Q-tip to clean the roller. This happens to me all of the time and this always solves the problem

Same problem I had. Remove the ring around the track ball assembly. and remove the track ball assembly frrom the phone. Clean the ball well with a swap and alcohol. Make sure you put the assembly back in the same way it came out. Put the ring back on and you should be good to go.

Rollerball not working

On the BB 8800.......you need to have the board service....this will solve the problem on your 8800 Blackberry.

the roll ball......on the pearl....you need to have the pad on the board replaced so take it to a professional mobile technician and have that done.

Blackberry pearl turns off when i touch the rollerball

Try a different ball in the device they are fairly easy to remove. Borrow a friends entire track ball use nail file to remove the ring then look to make sure what way the mechanism and ring go back in and try your firends if his/hers works in your phone replace the defective part. 2b4daea.jpg fb71594.jpgeb3c8be.jpg

Blackberry Curve rollerball scrolls but will not select when push

Try removing the silver cover around the scroll ball, and remove the ball. There should be a little white square underneath it. If there is no white square, but a red square, then it could be water damage. I had the same issue with mine.

Rollerball Issues

Try cleaning the trackball. Use a q-tip dipped in IPA or rubbing alcohol and use it to rotate the ball around a few times. Try a few times to make sure it is clean.
