Question about Acer TravelMate 2300 Notebook
My husband almost separated the keyboard from the mother board except for perhaps a hidden screw that is now allowing the boards to separate. does anyone know what the problem is or how to get the boards apart? thanks
All i can really offer for help is to try to remove the screws on the underside of the notebook. That is how i have to remove the keyboard on my Sony vaio. I cannot find anything online that describes how to remove the keyboard. But i can say when you get the keyboard off follow the link i provided above and click on the link that says "How to fortify damaged power jack connection in a laptop" This gives excellent instructions on how to repair this jack.
Or if you want to buy a new one follow this link to buy one off e-bay.
If you look on the laptop repair link it gives you a good idea about how to remove the keyboard so follow those directions as close as you can. And remember that these computers use a lot of snap fasteners so some stuff may be snapped in place and not screwed down.
