Question about Bunn NHB Coffee Maker

Bunn Coffee Maker Not Working

We have a 3 burner Bunn Coffee Maker. Unfortunately, I do not have the model number. I was stupid and put bleach in the machine to clean it out. Now, the water does not go through any more. I need a service place to bring it to get it fixed. I found this place in Vermont, but they do not return my calls. I need this thing fixed ASAP. I live in Burlington, Vermont. If you have any suggestions other than Commerical Service Repair located in Montpelier, Vermont, I would be extremely grateful.

Thank you,

    Hi MrMark52,

We have tried putting in water a number of times. The water still does not go through.

Yes, the coffee maker does heat up. It sometimes starts creating a lot of steam from the water in the unit.

    Hi MrMark52,

Thanks again for your help. The company finally called me back. They will come and look at the unit tomorrow or Friday ... Yeah. I will let you know what they find out. Hmmm... I will try to add more water, before they came just to make sure.

    Thanks again,

Plug the coffee maker in and fiIl with water again and let it flow through. Do this several times.

I don't think household bleach would cause any damage to the unit. Industrial bleach, yes, but not household, especially if diluted with water.

Let me know what you find.

Does it heat up at all?

  • Mark Egan Jan 28, 2009

But it never starts to flow hot water through the coffee maker portion of the system?

Is there a Model number on the unit?

I've torn into these before, but I don't remember any type of valving that prevents water flow. I do know they can be confusing because when the machine is totally empty (as in you poured all the water out of it) you need to add at least two carafea full of water before it begins to fill the coffee carafe with the first one.

Thanks Tammy. Please be sure to leave me a rating, and even though I didn't fix it, it's not that we got all the way through the troubleshooting process before you heard from the service people.

If you could treat me to a FixYa, I sure would appreciate it. Not that I get anything for it, but I need my % to come up.

And yes, let me know what you find.
