After inserting a CD for playback, the CD won't play and is in a looped "SYS BOOTING" stage. Once the SYS BOOT has gone through the cycle, I get the following message, "SYS BOOTING EMERGENCY OPEN".
Nothing I've tried to free the CD (reset button in back, unplugging the unit while pressing the open button) works.
How do I free the CD from the SongCube?

This morning I figured out how to resolve the problem. At the back of the unit is a "RESET" button. If you hold it in with a paper clip end for approximately 15 seconds, you can hear the unit reset itself. The CD tray will then open.
Every time you try to turn the unit on it gos to "SYSTEM BOOTING" after some time it goes to "DSP no responce" and repeats the process. I try-ed to unplug the unit reset the unit with no help. Can anyone offer some assistance.

I had the same problem last night, I tried everything like you did, maybe I just got lucky. I was about to open the case of the unit, the system boot stopped and it went to sleep mode, then I turned it on and luckily the CD can be ejected. Just try playing around with it, you might get lucky. Good Luck......
NOTE: Never play that CD again in your SongCube
