Try this if it helps
rest factory default settings = when ur set is switched off press both
buttons call and end key and then press power button on upside of pda
for like 5 sec screen will appear asking to format all data take out ur
card if u dont want to format that now confirm by pressing the centre
action button in 4 side joystick and go
if not solved then go to www.htc.com for latest Rom update downlaod and update backup ur data first

just see dear if your phone battery is not damaged means that it is not broken or the upper portion hasn't not grown means a hill like portion on battery you can keep it on table and spin it if spin try both sides then battery problem need to purchase new one if not then you can charge it via computer then check and last option is discharge it completely then charge it for continually 8 to 10 hours may be it can solve your problem.
After browsing a lot of sites and experimenting with the settings finally I was able to configure my HTC P3400i with Vodafone Live support without any help from the Vodafone customer care (who were very bad and rude when I called them for getting the setting). The settings is working fine for me in Bangalore. Hope this helps all who bought this phone and struggling for getting the GPRS setting for HTC P3400i.
