Thanks for giving me the opportunity to help.

This should do the trick:

I was going to type in the information but can't provide the icons that Canon uses. Instead I provided you with a link for you to get a new manual. The information you want is on page 63.

You can use regular procedure (p. 119-120) user manual, but
if you have your images in protected mode (refrer instructions manual (page 118) you can not delete them. In this case best way to delete them is to formate the SF card (page 121)
Manual is available from here

If camera does not delete the pictures then use format command at page 21 (23 on PDF) on the manual, check manual below and follow instructions.

Here is the user guide, check pages 21 - 23

did you use the format command, or the delete all?

If delete all was not working then pictures may have been protected, if you used format you should be able to delete picture with regular delete command in future.

Hi,

There is a very easy way to download those pictures to your PC.

My canon powershot s45 does not have a driver for windows 7

Consider NOT using a driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Cannot find a driver for Canon PowerShot S45 for Windows Vista

When connecting a digital camera to your computer with the usb connector, then turning it on the memory card in the camera becomes a removable drive under My Computer and will also bring up a dialogue window that will ask if you want to import pictures, etc. There is no need for a driver. Here are some simple things to try first for a camera that won't power on. They won't work for every case, but they're worth a try:

S45 not powering up

Ditto for me as well. Did anybody have an adapter that lets you power the camera directly? I'm thinking about opening it, but who knows? 5 year obsolescence time-out?
