Question about Yahoo Mail

All the messages I send end up in peoples junk folders

Hello!

my band has a domain info@momeraths.co.uk and we send messages to multiple yahoo addresses at once who have joined our mailing list. Recently we have discovered that all the messages we send end up in the recipients junk folders. We were wondering if there is any fee we can pay or way that we can stop this problem from happening as it means people do not recieve our messages.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Much love

the momeraths

This issue is an issue with Yahoo! email spam settings and not necessarily your domain email.

To resolve this issue, your recipients using Yahoo! email addresses need to change their spam settings, by going to the Spam folder and clicking [ Edit Settings ] in the gray box. In these options and settings, the recipients can modify what is considered spam and what is not considered spam.

Also, it is advised that the recipients check their Spam folders frequently, since your emails may still end up in that folder. If there is new mail in the Spam folder, there will be a number next to the folder name (In this case, Spam) and it will be in bold face text.

There must be something in the message that makes it look like junk. That is why you should always look at the Junk folder message list for good messages; click on each one and then click "Not Spam" in the menu bar above the preview pane so Ymail will know to put mail from that sender in your Inbox in the future.

People have sent me mails to my yahoo account but when I log into yahoomail the mail is not seen. i.e new mails are not coming in at all. I have checked all the settings and they seemed OK. Please help

Send an email to any one of these people and ask them to use the 'Reply' function of their mail program. Specifically ask them to use the generated 'to:' address and not to type in your email address. You want to eliminate 'finger trouble (splelign erorrs)' as a possibility.

If you receive these replies, the problem might be with the senders not typing in your name perfectly. They could also be spelling the domain portion of the address incorrectly. gmail.com is not the same as gmail.net and gmail.us - if those even exist.

Check your spam folder. In gmail, I have never had a problem with real messages going in to the spam folder.I never even look anymore.

At a former employer i had lots of messages flagged as possible SPAM with the word SPAM added to the Subject field of the message.

Yahoo wont accept the address as being properly formated on the email message I want to send even the company I tried to send it to gave that email address in different places.yahoo says that it isn't...

A properly formatted email address has to be like this -
name@domain.com
Now it doesn't necessarily have to be a .com addresses. Could be .net or .org, just as long as it's a valid domain suffix.

I am not getting all of my e-mails. Can you fix that? Are you affiliated with yahoo?

The first thing to check is to see if they are being delivered to your spam/junk mail folder. You may also have configured your account to immediately delete spam/junk, which would prevent you seeing if the emils were landing there. Check your security settings and if it is set to delete immediately, change it. Then, have someone send you a test email and see if it lands in your junk folder. If it does, you can loosen up the security settings you have so Yahoo doesn't screen so strictly.

Also check to make sure you haven't reached your Yahoo email capacity amount. If you have too many emails in your account, Yahoo will reject them, but they usually send the sender an email saying so.

That being said, I had used Yahoo sometime ago as it was affiliated with my SBC interent provider. I had similar issues where my email wouldn't come in or showed up a day or two later. I always advise friends not to use Yahoo as their email account for important emails. You might consider opening a gmail account at Google. Their system is much more reliable. Or you can setup your own domain and a email account attached to it at a registrar such as GoDaddy very reasonably. Domains are less than $10 a year and email is about $3 a month. It will be a lot more reliable too!
