Question about BFG Technologies (BFGR88768GTXE) NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800 GTX 768MB (768 MB) PCI Express Graphic Card
I am getting a pattern of mostly green/red squiggles spread over the entire screen and then a lock up. I can reboot in safe mode. I did this to download a driver for a Nvidia 7800 card from an older PC I thought to replace the 8800 until I found a solution. I get a hardware error when I try to use the 7800. I'm looking for a repair for the 8800 if possible. I thought it might be the driver. I updated it 3 weeks ago though and never had a problem until now. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Is the card overclocked? What you described are called Artifacts and is usually due to the clock speed or memory speed is more then the card can handle stability.
Whats the wattage on you PSU?
Does you case have good cooling?
