Re: computer shutting off
Probably the coolerfan is broken, open the case and see if it is spinning when the PC is turned on. If not, you should have it replaced, if it is spinning very slow replace it as well. If it is spinning properly but your pc keeps having the problem. One other thing, is the PC placed in a closed cabinet or in open space? If in a closed cabinet, remove it from there or make additional openings in the cabinet. Remember, heat is one of the biggest enemies of your processor and a coputer should at least at the backside have enough space to breath.

try replacing the thermal grease on your cpu. the BIOS have a protection that restart or shut down the computer/laptop when the cpu get to hot. You can also check if the power suply is working in parameters
Check the cooling fan. Not just the fan itself but all the airways and metal fins that it blows air over. This often requires removal of the fan itself. PC and laptop fans act like little vacuum cleaners!
Reboot essentially means restarting the computer. This is two types
1. Warm Reboot: where you go to start on windows task bar and choose shut down but when prompted choose restart. This way computer shuts down momentarily and restarts!
2. Cold Reboot: By this means you choose to shut down and again when prompted choose shut down! This makes computer off completely until restart by pressing power button.
Booting is computer Lingo for above procedures!
It is either an overheating problem where the acer is shutting off to protect the equipment, or it is RAM that has gone bad.
Try cleaning out all the vents and fans as well as you can. If the unit is no longer under warranty, you may want to open it up if you can to ensure a good cleaning. If that is not the problem, I would investigate replacing the RAM.
all the laptops on the world have warm problem. if you use your notebook dirty place your fan could get dirty and not working well and not makes cool anymore. in warm system can shut down itself. it is often does. if you open your laptop back case you will see the fan. there are olny 4 screw. clean the fan and screw again. try it.
sorry for my enghlish.
remove the CPU side door and check Fan is rotating on Processor if not it may not rotate due to heavy dust inside. ( clean it and refix it)
Check SMPS Fan is rotating or not..
If fans or not rotating Heat Builds up then computer shuts down itself.
If both fans are working...Just Open BIOS window by press DEL button continuosly while startup and wait for 2 to 3 minutes If the computer shuts down Itself in BIOS Window also then we can confirm issue with Hardware.
If Computer not shutting down in BIOS Window then issue with Operating System Boot files corrupted.
While Turn ON the system press F8 to enter in Safe Mode.
Open command prompt by clicking on
Start >. RUN >> type cmd >> then press enter.
now type chkdsk /f
now press Y
then reboot PC it fixes the Boot files error then your PC works perfectly.
You can try the Ctl-Alt Del keys to see if you can get the task manager to come up. If you can then try to shut down using that. If not then the only choice you really have is to manually power down and restart. Chances are pretty good Windows will clean up after itself and should boot backup. During the process if you receive any error messages or warnings document them. Windows may also prompt you for a hard drive scan, let it.
