Problems printing with lexmark x6690 with word docs saved as 97
The printer is wireless and will print perfectly any Mircorsoft 2007 new document saved as word document.
But if i try to print Word documents saved as 97 2003 compatible it will not print.
Is it that these document are too old and i should save them into a more recent format?
Thanks for any help

In this case what i would Request u to do is......... Goto Control Panel goto Printers folder......... There u will see the Lexmark Printer Icon........... Just right click on the Printer Icon and click on Properties......... Now click on Advanced and goto Print Processor......... Change it to Lexmark X6600 and NTEMF 1.0008........ Click on Apply click Ok now try to Print.......... Prints Fine............Issue Resolved........

Try to reseat the black cartridge. If that doesn't help, try to clean the cartridge nozzles. On the printer operator panel > press Setup button > Maintenance > Clean Cartridges > Ok. Your printer will then print a page, forcing ink through the nozzles to clean them. Try to print again. You may also try to insert a different known working black cartridge to determine if the other is faulty. If your new cartridge is faulty, return it to the purchase store (if within return period) or contact Lexmark technical support for assistance.
It is the print setting in WP. As I'm sure you know, Corel products like to take control of everything. If your document is configure to print to an HP printer, for example, it won't print to another printer unless you change it in the Print settings within the document.
Check that WP is using the same driver and the printer is called exactly the same as it is for Word. Make sure that the port assignments etc are the same and that you install all printers via Windows, not in a program.
