you can download a password reset disk, google it

is it bios or windows password? If it is bios's password then you should reset the bios by removing the bios battery. If it is your os then reinstall your os

Sounds like a driver problem. Vista has more built in drivers than XP. This link should start the download of the driver for you.

It says the model is SA2053t, but the same drivers are used for the SA2052t

if u have driver disk or source thene go to my computer then devicemanger then right clik any icon there then u see scan for hardware changes.
then folowthe proceduree then one step is come for browse then select your source of driver then it install.

i checked the HP website and it doesnt have audio drivers for XP only vista...the linkby compgeek09 is for a Everex laptop and not for yours...
