I found this on an Ebay guide...

"FIRST! The pen is not electronic AT ALL! If the screen does not seem to be working with your stylus pen (for instance, you click one part of the screen and it clicks a totally different part), you may need to calibrate the screen! Put a cartridge in, turn the system on, and when the sign in screen comes up, press the HOME, HINT, and B buttons at the same time. When the screen changes, press the A button. Follow the directions.

If you need a replacement pen, with the cord attached, follow the instructions:

Send $5.00 in check or money order (to cover shipping and handling charges) to
LeapFrog Customer Service
Leapster Replacement Stylus
563 North Fairview Street
Santa Ana, CA 92703

Please note that this is supposed to be for pens that are lost or damaged ONLY."

It might still be alright. Remove the battery, and put the leapster unit into a ziploc baggie along with some silica gel packs (those little packets that come with shoes and such that say "Do Not Eat") Leave it for a few days until the unit is fully dry inside. Then put the battery back in and give it a shot. We did this with a cordless phone that fell in the sink and it was fine!

Htc one how to dry it out after being drop in water

UGH! Sorry to hear that. You could try the old Bowl of Rice method, where you place the phone inside a bowl of rice, or inside a ziplock back full of rice, and then leave it there for a couple of weeks. (the rice is UNCOOKED!!!) Hopefully, that helps. If not, your phone might be toast. Check and see if you have insurance with your carrier, and whether they insure against water damage.

How to dry out your cell phone from toilet water or washing machine

Dry well with a towel, remove the back and battery. Put all pieces in a bowl of uncooked rice for several days. The rice sucks the moisture out of the phone. May take up to a week for all functions to opperate fully.

My phone was submerged in water for about 90 seconds. Will it still work and how long should I wait before trying it?

You should probably wait for a few days to ensure it's completely dry on the inside. I have heard other folks suggest that putting the phone in a bowl of white rice for a few days is a great way to dry it out. The rice will absorb the moisture.

Did the case cover the entire phone or just the sides and back like most?

I dropped my camera into the toilet. It was in the case so it was not soaked but it did take in some water. What do i need to do to be sure that it is thoroughly dried out?

Above all...DO NOT TURN IT ON!!! Remove the card and battery and try to dry those compartments as best you can. Bury the camera in a bowl of dry rice for a week, turning it occasionally. Then, with your fingers crossed, you can try it.

IPod touch Digital Media Player: my grandson dropped by Ipod touch in the toilet! t...

Well the screen can be fixed by sending it to apple or one of many other repair shops. The water is the hard part. Your best bet is to fill a zip lock bag with dry rice and put your ipod inside and leave it for a week and maybe the rice will pull the moisture out. Water is a killer but once it dries out, you might be lucky. In the end it may cost more to repair than its worth.

My samsung impression dropped in water and touch screen broke

I also dropped my Samsung Impression in the toilet, I immediately took the phone took the protective case off, took the battery cover off, and took the battery and my SIM card out and towel dried it as best as I could. Then I sat it on the floor next to my fan and let it dry until I got to my grandparents a little while later and I put it in a bowl of rice, completely covered the phone and battery with rice and left it sit overnight in the rice and all of the next day, so far i've had it on about 20 minutes and have had no problems with it so far, another solution is to sit it in the sun, to further dry it out. Water damage will void warranties on your phone and battery and your provider will know instantly if the damage was water related when they take your battery cover off, there is a small square sticker that when dry and hasn't touched water should be white, but as soon as it comes into contact with water it turns red, there is also one of these stickers on the battery. My stickers were red and after sitting in the rice they look like they got lighter in color considerably, I don't know if that is really possible but appearance wise it looks that way. I hope this helps anyone who has had this problem. Good Luck!

I dropped my lg dare in the toilet. it was on and i couldn't take the battery out. that was last night and now i finally managed to take the battery out so it's out drying in the sun. what should i do for...

To get the *best* chance of having your phone (especially a touch screen) to work after being submerged in water, you need PATIENCE.

Generally, the phone doesnt die when it first goes in the water. It usually dies when the user tries to start the phone too soon, before it's dried out.

The fastest drying method i've seen is to get a small tupperware (sealable) container, and completely submerge the phone in white dry rice. Seal the container, separate the battery, take off the cover, and get as much exposure to the rice as you can.

The rice keeps the air dry inside the container, and will pull moisture out of the phone faster than air drying. Leave it there for at least 2 days. At least 2. Hope that helps!

PS - You will *probably* need a new battery, generally batteries are damaged by even a small amount of moisture. You might as well buy a new battery.

Water damage LG Shine

This may sound crazy, but it has worked for every phone me or my friends have had water damage to.
Take the phone apart as far as you can go (like take off the silver plate backing and take out the battery, and simcard) and place it on a dry rag and put it in the oven. Then heat the oven to its lowest setting. My oven can go as low as 175 degrees, so what I did was to open the top a little bit to let the heat out. Believe it or not, this heat shouldn't ruin the phone, but only dry up the water that is blocking the circuits. Be very careful though. The ideal temperature is about 125 degrees.
Considering water boils at 212 degrees, it SHOULD take more heat than than to actually damage your phone. Leave it in the oven, turned off, for 24 hours or longer. Give it some time... be patient. Then try turning it back on. It has worked for me and my friends, as of now we are 5/5.
Good luck.
