You can simply adjust the zoom factor of your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) by holding down the Control key and press the plus sign (+) to zoom in and the minus sign (-) to zoom out. Ctrl-0 (Number 0) brings it back to normal.
If this hard drive was moved from one computer to another, it is likely not booting because of a hardware discrepancy. If you're using Windows XP, this is common when moving from a machine with a single-core processor to one with a dual- or greater- core processor. It also happens when moving from an AMD processor to Intel or vice versa.
Just a quick reminder... Above the keyboard there are touch buttons, one of them is to turn off the touch pad, (it looks like a finger touching the pad). LOL, I know sometimes we overlook the easiest stuff....
Did you have to format the external drive when you set it up on your G4? You'll probably have to format the drive with the computer you want to use it with. I have seen external hard drives unusable until formatted. I hope I'm wrong about this, and good luck.
What drive are you speaking about.
PCs and Macs (assuming you are speaking about a PPC architecture machine-- older-- not the newer dual core Intel processor machines capable of running Windows) run on different code due to the different fundamental architecture of their respective central processing units (CPU's). PC software will not run on Macs and vice versa. Exceptions to this rule would be software written using a platform independent language such as Java (open office is an example of such software).
That said, you can transfer any data that you have on your PC to the drive on your Mac. Unless you have an Intel dual core chip, however, or the software is written in Java or the like, it will not run on your Mac. It will just sit there, nicely stored, waiting for you to transfer it to a machine that can understand it.
