SOURCE: Lighting Problem

We see this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide for $39.95 postpaid.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

This can often also affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inoperable or stuck on too.

Details of our service and critical safety information and disassembly information is at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

How to change the lightbulb ze2160sf01

I found the following info: Hope it helps>
" I have included a schematic of the interior of the built in Monogram Advantium Microwave oven Model KSC1001. The interior halogen light burned out and had to be replaced. GE service wanted $138 to come out & service it. I tried to find instructions on how to take it apart and remove the bulb & replace it on the WEB but had no luck with the Monogram series so I went to the dealer in Denver, CO and talked with their technicians and they gave me the schematic and sold me 2 bulbs for $11.00. The halogen bulbs can be purchased at Home Depot for about the same price. They are 35 watt with wide metal connectors.

Mine has 2 side trim pieces so these have to be removed first. They have latches on the top that slide behind the sides of the microwave and attach at the top. After removing the 4 screws holding the trim pieces, slide these upwards and then pull out to the sides. 2.) pull the microwave out and set it on a solid surface. 3.) there are approximately 23 screws that need to come out before you can slide & life the cover off the microwave 4.) Then look inside towards the front and left side (looking from the rear forward) for a small metal cover. There are 2 screws that hold it down. 5). Unscrew the 2 screws and gently lift the metal container up. This is the housing for the light bulb. 6.) gently pull the old bulb out and using gloves or a cloth insert the new bulb. You need to keep oils from your fingers from getting on the bulbs. The oils make the bulbs burn out quicker 7.) Put the container back and screw in the 2 screws being careful not to dislodge any wiring 8.) Slide the cover back on and replace all the screws 9.) plug it into an outlet and open the door to make sure the light works 10.) replace the microwave, plug it in and put the trim pieces back on. 11.) go to a movie with the money you just saved "

Both bulbs on my 2002 S10 Blazer licence plate was burned out I replased them with new bulbs and they will not come on and I have checked the fuses what could be the problem?

you need to check for power and for ground at the lightbulb socket to determine which is not contributing to power the bulb(s). If the marker lights work at the rear then suspect a broken/melted light bulb socket, broken wire, or broken/rusted ground connection. Again, check at the light bulb socket for ground on one side (black wire) and 12V (brown wire) on the other. The light socket should have terminals that actually touch the light bulb; sometimes the sockets will melt not allowing a good connection. a cheap harbor freight multimeter (VOM) will help. Right and left side use separate fuses

Head lights stop working from the light switch my turn sig. button still work.

check your connection, bulbs, wires and fuses. its pretty easy just look to see if the philement in your bulbs are broken if so just get bulbs and put them in. and look at your fuse if the metal is borken get a new fuse to put in. you can also follow your wire and if there is any dry rotting of slice but a new wire and run it from your battery to your bulbs. hope this helps you

No back light in display

The back light bulb is dead. Or check your phone settings, look out for display settings, select back light time/settings and see if the back light is turned off. And if not, the the back light bulb is dead for real.

Take care

Sony Monitor just gone really dark

Cold cathode lights behind the LCD screen are dead or dying. If you like the screen go on ebay and look for the cathode light kit if available. You can search google for replacing the lights on a LCD screen and its pretty straight forward. If its not worth your time just buy a new screen, but replacing the long skinny bulbs will make it like new.

Projector turns on but no light or image from lens.

The bulbs do not always look broken when dead. You say it is used often. The life of a bulb is around 1400 hours I believe. This normally equates to a year or two depending on your usage levels. Did you notice your image getting dimmer in the months before it stopped working? This would be a good sign it was in need of replacement. Are the lights flashing very rapidly or blinking slowly? If they are flashing very rapidly this indicated the bulb will not fire and needs replacing.

Brake lights

Did you change the light bulb? sometimes you can not find whether it is out of order or not, you have to use a Om amp meter to make sure it is broken, anyway put a good new one there and see what’s happening. Usually there are many electronic reasons to drain the battery. I don’t think the light bulb cause this case. We will find out step by step.
