Problem for Microsoft Money 2007 Home & Business Full Version for PC...
Corrupted Money backup files
MS support was not able to fix problem using file repair or any of the other techniques we tried. Money opens up and then says it has to shut down apparently due to the corrupted file. MS tech support suggested there may be some utilities out there than might work but did not provide any specifics. Has anyone successfully used one? Using Money Plus 2008 but problem started with Money 2007.

- I have the same problem with Microsoft Money 2002. I lost around 1 and 1/2 years data. Luckily, I had a backup on my hard drive taken 1 and 1/2 years back. Otherwise, I would have lost around 8 years data.Post if you found a solution. I am trying to input the data manually.- appupappu

There are a few things you can do. Manually open up the *.mbf file, does it open?
If it doesn't, the file type *.mbf may not be associated to Money 2007 anymore. Very common.
If the file becomes too large they also become corrupted. It may be possible to export the *.mbf file to Microsoft Excel. Make sure you create a copy of the file before manipulating it.

Actually.... if you have a system administrator. They should have a back up tape, you should already have a path to the file you can give them. They can do a backup and restore of a day or two ago and see if that mbf file was not corrupted as well.
