Had my 1210s a few months, my problem is the light that comes on green when you put the pitch adjustment knob to 0. Is always on. The light does get a bit stronger tho, when on 0. does not seem to cause problems with the pitch when mixing, i have done a full pitch test.Looked everywhere for a solution. please please help. peace Dj Nyce

Re: pitch adjustment light is always on

Did you buy this turntable used? If so, more than likely the previous owner replaced the pitch control and either connected it incorrectly, or used a pitch control off of a MK3 or MK5 turntable. If you bought this new, and you have been the only owner, the problem could be as TTECH described, either a voltage issue where you have it set up, or needs to be cleaned out. However, if neither of those are your issues, then it's time to get it professionally checked by a service tech. The pitch control is more than likely faulty, and will need to be replaced, but that wouldn't cause the constant LED light from being on. That is usually caused by a bad capacitor or resistor - i would be it's a capacitor that isn't discharging correctly. So, this is where a service tech would come in handy. Sometimes the Pop-up light causes these types of issues. Unfortunately, there is no easy fix. If it's not causing you too much trouble, you can always leave it the way it is. - Justin

The pitch control maybe dirty a cleaner for this may help! Use only with the power unplugged! as some cleaners are too wet! let it dry then try unit if this does not work it may need to be calibrated. With the service manual this can be done if the right test tools.

Adjust pitch not working on PS T1 Sony

Try looking underneath the turntable. There might be two speed presets one for 45 and one for 33. They could be covered up by stickers.

When i turn my 1210s on both 33/45 switces come on and platter spins too fast

Couple of options , but first cleanen the pithfader and variable resistor pitch vr3 i thought, it's an open one , he needs allways to be replaced, even technics says so and first clean the board, inside and on youtube and this side there enough movies and text how to do it, and check the pitchfader cables very good.

Pitch adjustment

There's a variable resistor with the name pitch besides it... first clean it and then you put your pitch fader in the middle and turn it with a screw driver, put your platter on the unit, the plastic black plate you only have to unscrew and take off , nothing else., but like i said , but the platter on it and watch the strobe lights. Determine first which way you have to screw, it's just whole the time :taking of platter and turn screw a bit(don't forget to take of the electricity when you remove the platter), put it on and do that until the strobe stays steady.

Tempo slider does not increase or decrease when move up or down

I am in the same boat. I disassembled both of mine and had them powder coated at a paint shop last summer. Both were working fine but now the pitch on one unit is not working. And the green zero lock light stays on no matter which way I adjust the ptich.

I recently purchased a used Technics 1200-MK2 turntable. Aside from the obvious wear and tear, there is one issue that I can not seem to fix. One the pitch slider, the factory set zero (green light is on)...

sound like the pitch has been tampered with.
Right you felling confer dent if so get your self a Philips screwdriver switch the deck off & unplug it under the slip mat there are two big holes put your fingers in them then twist & pull the platter off its always a mission because of the magnetic brakes.
when you've got it off undo the 5 screws that hold the plastic cover on, then you'll see a circuit board on the top right hand side which has 2 pot one named BRAKE the other PITCH adjust the PITCH anticlockwise until it's slot is pointing up straight put it all back together but dont put the screws back in just yet.
test it first if it's still not right repeat this proses untill you nail it.
GOOD LUCK if you get stuk e-mail me

Pitch control adjustment for Pioneer CDJs??

Your best option is to get a hold of the service manual for this model. Which is available HERE. It tells you how to align, calibrate, disassemble, and clean the unit. As well as assorted schematics and diagrams you'll need in order to troubleshoot issues with the unit.

Now, just because you've master the 1200s, doesn't mean that this beast is just as easy. It's not. This is COMPLETELY different than an analog turntable like the 1200s. You have to be cautious with ESD, the Laser, and an assortment of other fragile components on this unit.

So, I say, experiment on your own gear, this way you won't mess up a customer's unit. Or buy yourself a used, damaged unit, and work on re-building that one. It's the only way your going to learn.

Hope this helps some.

No Power to 1210s

Problem is not the fuses, but the power supply / power transformer has blown. This is why you should always wrap exposed wiring with electrical tape or heatshrink tubing.

The power supply can be purchased HERE, but this is not an easy replacement. And if you blew it by not properly replacing the Pop-up light, than I DON'T suggest you try to replace the power supply on your own either. You could really cause even more damage, and possible harm to yourself and your property.

Platter or motor or what?

Been seeing a lot of problems like this on the newer decks. if the lights instead of moving smoothly are moving a bit, then stopping a little, then moving a bit more. or just wobbling a little bit usually has something to do with the motors... I have also just had to have mine replaced to was having the same problem.... expensive

Frozen out the game.

Do the lamps ( 33/45, strobe, pitch at 0, pop up light ) light up when you turn them on. Was the storage climate controlled?

Keep me posted.
