Useing a dremel stylus

Even in 2018 this is still correct. Change the Capacitor and runs OK

Take it back to the store, explain your problem. Like as not, they will exchange it. My experience with this tool tells me that it is a noisy unit. Depending on the material you are working and the stylus you are using, the noise will change.

You can't attach this to a Dremel Stylus. This blade is specifically for the Multi-Max tool. A link is below.

THIS SEEMS TO BE A MAJOR PROBLEM FOR DREMEL AND I AM SORRY BUT I HAVENT A SOLUTION (NEITHER HAS DREMEL). Change the capacitor 220uF and it will most certainly work again. I got the idea from FixYa and it solved my problem!
Easy to change just 2 soldering points and a component costing around 0,2 Euros. If you do not know how to operate a soldering tool ask someone for a quick assistance. The switch takes around 2 min (1,5 min to open the charger and 0,5 min to change the component!).

Dremel may not be the way to go. ABS and poly plastic likes to melt and ball up on a Dremel

its probably broken, but you could just add a foot operated switch from a hardware store which costs about 4$, which is cheaper than replacing the switch and easier to turn off and on while using the tool.
