Question about Sony PSone Console

PSone memory card problem

I have the following issue (Its with every single game. This is an example) :I play Legacy of Kain and I save my progress. When I try to save my progress again, when I choose an empty space in my memory card, the file that is saved is corrupted and the PSone offers me to format my card. This also happens when I play Tekken 3 and I try to save, after that the console indicates my memory card is not formatted. I already lost 8 hours of playtime on Vagrant Story. Please help me with a solution! Thanks in advance.

I found the problem myself. The memory card was corrupted in an unknown way. I replaced it with anotherone and now everything works relatively good.

I'm playing PSone games on my Ps2 and I am using a playstation one memory card. My ps2 loads from the memory card, but when I try to save data onto my ps1 memory card the ps2 freezes on the load screen.

YOU PROBABLY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MEMORY ON YOUR PS1 CARD AND THE PS2 DOES'T KNOW HOW TO TELL YOU THIS BECAUSE IT WAS ONLY PROGRAMED TO SAY NOT ENOUGH MEMORY WITH A PS2 MEMORY CARD. TO PLAY OFF YOU SAVED DATA TRY TRANSFERRING YOUR MEMORY TO A COMOUTER THEN TO A PS2 MEMORY CARD... BEST OF LUCK

I am able to play PS1 games on my lim PS2, but why can't I save the games (even though the card is suitable for a normal PS2 console)?

You will need to go out and buy a psONE memory card or in some cases you can format a ps2 memory card to keep playstation one game saves on the card.

They are really cheap on ebay and amazon. Even a generic should be fine.

Comment if you need any help or have any more questions.

How do I insert memory card into nintendo 64? bought used unit for grandson and was thinking of getting a memory card becuase it seems it supposed to have one I bought a used donkey kongN64 and now it says...

The memory card plugs into the back of the controller.. i believe. No you do not need a memory card to play games, but you want one if you want to save your progress in games. Without a memory card to save progress, you will have to start a game over everytime you want to play it.

I am sorry I don't know what the expansoin pack is.... maybe a memory card, or rumble pack.

Memory Card Corrupted

you cannot save another file until you delete previous one.Corruption occurs if the memory card is removed from console or if you reset the game while saving or loading game remember this also happens when you are saving or loading game and electricity turns off.

If you go to "Game" on the settings menu when the PS3 starts up, simply create a new internal memory card, after doing so, assaign the memory card to a slot by pressing triangle. Then you should be able to save PSone games

Not being able to save gow 2

One trick that I found working every time is that turn on the console, pull out memory card, insert game disk and start the game. When the game menu shows up put memory card in. From there onwards games will be loaded and saved properly without this issue hopefully
