Question about LG DP122 DVD Player, Multi Format Playback, USB Content Playback
I am using a Kingston 8 gig USB which is not full. The files it won't play are up to 2 gig but other 2 gig files do play.

Figured this out, lg dp122 uses DivX Home Theater profile, so the technical specs of the video must match that.
Those specs can be found here: http://www.divx.com/files/DivX-Profiles_Tech-Specs.pdf

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

resave the file to your computer, and reformat using NTFS. retransfer to the stick, and it should work after that.

SOURCE: Can't play USB MP4 on LG RH397D
The LG RH397D only supports MP3/WMA/JPEG/DivX image and audio files from a USB drive. There is no firmware update that changes the supported file types. You will need to convert the MP4 to a supported format. The manual for the RH397D is available from LG: http://www.lg.com/au/support-product/lg-RH397D# /
I wish that I had better news for you.
