Hi. This is Aaron Moratalla from White Rodgers. For 1F78-151, "WE" means Wednesday. If left side temperature is stuck at 67F and there's no Hot air coming out then try ressting your thermostat by:
1. set system to Heat mode
2. press simultaneously the Up, Down arrows and Time button for 2sec.
3. the screen should blank out momentarily then show 62F in the right side.
4. set a higher temperature in the right side than the left side of LCD to have a call for heat.

If you are still having problems please don't hesitate to call our Tech Support line at 800-284-2925. Thank you for choosing White Rodgers!

SOURCE: No Heat with new White Rodgers 1f85rf-275 Thermostat

The only way to resolve this problem and to distingush if its a thermostat issue on the system is to by pass the thermostat by putting a jumper between the hotwire and the heating wire if the system did run which happen most of the time. Call the HVAC technician to check your heating unit. Or call the White- Rodgers technical line at 18887259797 choose contrator division.

SOURCE: I have a White Rodgers thermostat series 1F78-151

- Check the wires on the terminals make sure that they are not loose
- Reset the unit by press time, up and down buttons make sure the systems is in on position.
- Set the system to cool then and lower the setpoint below room temperature. There may be up to five minute delay before the thermostat clicks in cooling. If the thermostat click this means its not a thermostat you have a problem with your cooling equipment call your installer. If the thermostat did not click the unit should be replaced.

The Operating Manuals for many White-Rodgers thermostats can be found in PDF form HERE, however they are not indexed by model number so you will have to download each file in turn until you find the one you want. All of the file names beginning with "0037-" seem to be W-R products.*Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. I do not have a manual for my thermostat

You have a heat pump unit most of the time the unit will operate in normal mode heat setting on your thermostat but when the temp of house can't keep up the emergency heat will kick in. With that being said you can switch the t-stat to emergency mode and that will take the heat pump out of action and bring in the back up heat. You might have electrical heat strips or maybe a fuel such as natural gas or propane. hope that answers your question Ken

We have a White-Rodgers 90 series thermostat that started beeping last night. We have had it for about 4 years. Does it have a battery? I couldn't find anything about that in the manual.

Susan, the "90" series of thermostats covers a couple of different thermostats made by White-Rodgers. Here's how to find your model number. With that info, I can check the manual specific to your thermostat.

In the mean time, check the display for the word BATTERY or BAT. (Flashing) on the display. Battery flashing or blinking on the digital display indicates low batteries. If the batteries have recently been changed and the thermostat continues to indicate low batteries, use a pencil eraser to polish each of the battery contacts inside the back of the thermostat. Do not bend them up and down when polishing or you might break them. When complete, they should all be as shiny as a mirror. This will assure proper battery back-up, allow the backlight to work correctly and remove the flashing battery symbol from the screen. Battery (Solid) on Display The battery symbol (not blinking) indicates a loss of power (24 volts) from the heating and cooling equipment to the thermostat. Normally the heating and cooling do not operate when the battery indicator is on. If the battery indicator is on, check the fuses or breakers, make sure the furnace is switched on, and verify the blower compartment door is closed properly. The battery display is designed to indicate the thermostat is running on batteries, so replacing batteries has no effect on the indicator. See No Heat/No Cool for more information. Note: Some heat only systems (zoned systems) disconnect power from the thermostat during a normal heating cycle and display the battery symbol. Millivolt heating systems always indicate battery because they do not supply 24 volts to the thermostat.

A beep often is provided as audible feedback when keys are depressed on many thermostats. You should check to make sure that no key is stuck in the "in" position or is otherwise activated.
