Where can i get software 4 printer model C60??

Here is a link to the driver for your printer. Yes, you can just install the driver but the software may be on the site.

Go to the C60 online manual at:

and select How To, Maintenance, Cleaning the Print Head.

This explains very well how to clean the print head etc using either the printer software or the printer control panel, for both Windows and the Mac.

You will need to download the software/driver package for windows vista. You can get this from the Epson website under the support section for your printer model. Hope this helps & please rate this solution fixya. Thanks.

If you are running windows go to Control Panel, Printers, Select Printer Preferences and turn on either print in Grayscale or Print in Black only.

The driver for the Epson C60 printer is included with Vista - all you need to do is connect the printer to the computer with Vista running and turn it on. If you have already done this and the printer does not work properly (but see the info about the Status Monitor below), turn the printer off, uninstall the printer using the Control Panel-Programs and Features-Epson Printer Software, then reboot the computer. Once Vista is running, turn the printer on and it should then install OK.

HOWEVER, the printer Status Monitor (SM) is not included in this process and if you try to install the XP version of the SM, it will not work. Epson appears to have no intention of remedying this problem. This means you have no means of monitoring your ink levels, nor of changing the cartridges, cleaning the heads etc via the computer, although some of these tasks can be carried out via the printer control panel (see your hand book on how to do this).

A good solution is to use the free SSC utility as your SM - download from:

Install it, and double click the ssc printer icon in the bottom right corner (System Tray). Choose Configuration and set your printer type (C60), then close the ssc window. Now right click the ssc icon in the sytem tray and choose the SM function you wish to use.

I have an Epson C60 and Vista has the neccessary drivers in box. When Vista is running just connect your C60 and it will do the rest.
I have so far had no problems. The only thing that I can see is missing is the option to preview via the printer software.

take the cartridge out clean the contacts with a cotton bud re-insert ana dtry a cleaning process via the HP software sometimes even with a new cartridge it will not print emediately

what is the connection? USB or parallel ? Try1. Disconnect the printer. Unistall the software and driver. Restart the computer. Now re installed and follow precisely the commands. Come off line Disable A/V software Do not connect printer untill prompted. Try2 Go to printers and faxes Click on install printer When asked CD or select from List - take select ftom list. Select the Make. Select the model. Make it the default printer. Try 3. Go to www.fixyourownprinter.com

Try downloading the latest version of the status monitor from the Epson web site. This should sort your dilema.
