ont. Panel, press the following, one after the other, * (additional functions), 2, 8, * (additional functions). You are now in Service Mode. Touch the Function Tab, touch the Clear button, touch the ERR button, when it is highlighted, press the OK button at the botton of screen. Power Cylce unit. If it comes back up, may have been a fluke. However, if it comes back, check your Fixing Assy for jammed paper, or damage to the Fixing Film (Upper Roller). Replacing the Film is not hard. After you remove the Fixing Assy., its a couple cables and springs. Rather on the easy side for Film replacements. Remebmer, on these models, the Film is also the Heater and Upper Fixing Roller. The Film is most likely on the pricey side for new, believe you can find rebuilds. Just keep in mind that the Film is still a lil' bit cheaper then the whole assy., and 8 out 10 times, its the Film that fails in the asssy

SOURCE: My canon ip2600 printer has a paper jam error, but there isn't.

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.
First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.
If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

What causes the error code J?

Hello,

The error code J in Fujitsu fi-6140 scanner is associated with Document jam or feeding related issues. J-0 error is paper jam error caused by paper protection sensor malfunction, J-1 is also paper jam caused by US sensor malfunction and J-2 multifeed error caused by poor performance or malfunction of US sensor error.

Whay does an error E000000-0010 on a Canon IR5055 mean?

A E00000-0010 means you have a problem with the fuser unit. I would try to rest the error code first in service mode. If you had a power problem, the copier may give that error code. If it will not reset, you have to fix the fuser unit first.

3 yellow flashes, then 1 green on a Canon PIXMA Ip4000

3 flashes is a GREAT symptom report. We need some more than that, but it does give us a direction.

If this is a "Service Call Error", it will be accompanied by an on screen message that includes a "6000" error code.
Here are the possible solutions....
- Timing sensor unit (QM2-1213)
- Timing **** disk film (QC1-4833)
- Feed roller ***'y (QL2-0598)
- Platen unit (QM2-1215)
- Logic board ***'y (QM2-1548)*1
- PAPER FEED MOTOR (QK1-0550)

These solutions are not for the novice, but are user servicible for many out there.

If this is a "Operator Call Error", it will also be accompanied by on screen error codes

Paper jam. [1300]
Paper jam in the under guide. [1304]
Paper jam in the rear guide. [1303]
Solution: Remove the jammed paper, and press the Resume/Cancel
button.
OR

Front door closed. [1250] Open the paper output tray.

Error code 5700

5700 is a ASF cam error most likely. Here the Canon proceedure for fixing it!
DESCRIPTION: 5 Alternating Blinks (SFP) / ##356 (MFP) - ASF Cam Sensor Error
SOLUTION(S): Adjust the Screws & Main Case Unit
Movement (i.e. from shipping) may cause the plastic guide to move away from the chassis. When this
occurs, the gears cannot rotate properly causing a grinding noise and 5 alternating blinks (SFP) or ##356
(MFP) - ASF Cam Sensor Error.
Procedures
  1. Remove the Left and Right Covers and the Main Case Unit (main cover).
  2. Remove the 4 mounting screws from the Chassis.
  3. Remove the Main Unit from the Bottom Case.
  4. Turn the Main Unit over (upside down) and place on work surface.
  5. Inspect the ASF section of the Main Unit for a gap between the white plastic guide and the Chassis.
Note: The size of the gap varies. Even if the gap is not visible, complete the steps
    below.
  6. Disconnect the appropriate cables and remove the Logic Board from the Chassis.
  7. Loosen (do not remove) the 4 mounting screws (the mounting screws can be found behind the
    logic board) on the Chassis.
  8. Re-seat the white plastic guide so it sits flush against the Chassis. The tip of the white plastic
guide should sit slightly inside the
mounting screw hole. When seated correctly, the gap will no longer be present.
  9. Tighten the 4 mounting screws without
causing the plastic guide to shift.
  10. Reassemble the printer and retest.
