You apparently have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

My Uniden Cordless phone is in answer mode only and it will not allow any messages. I do not know how to get it back into record message mode.

Since you declined to specify the model of your Uniden 5.8GHz phone I can only suggest you select it from the list beginning here to download a copy of the manual.

On my uniden power max 5.8 ghz cordless phone I do not hve the manual and I can not figure out how to set the recorded message

Go to Uniden.com and look for your manual, (PDF format) they are all available, I just downloaded mine the other day for my answeringf machine/phone. Don't bother with any other site, they all charge you for who knows what.

My phone does not ring when a call is received

I've found this to be a problem with regular phone lines (POTS) and Uniden phones. Uniden phones do not seem to support 90v @ 20hz ringing voltage / frequency. They work fine in every aspect except for ringing. These phones do work well with voip, where you aren't connected to the telephone company and have calls routed over the internet. The boxes that handle the voip calls generally produce less than 90v and work well w/ Uniden phones.

How do I change my message

Uniden provides user manuals for all their phones on the Uniden website. I couldn't tell which model was yours and you didn't provide a model number. Here is the manual for the TRU12803, if you need any other help, let me know.

Yes, it will automatically let you know when you have a voicemail. If it does not work, contact Comcast.
