My dell inspiron 6000 was working fine 1 hour ago. I was using it and then I folded it and set it down. I just went to use it again and it wont power on. There is no light at all. What could be the problem?
The vr\ery first thing what u have to do is that disconnect the ac adaptor and take the battery out of the computer and then press and hold down the power button without the battery and the adaptor for one minute and then connect the ac adaptor and put the battery back in and then try and turn it on and what u can do is that try and turn on the computer only with the battery and then take the battery out and try and turn it on only with the adaptor, and then what u can try is that try with the different adaptor having same configuration, and try and connect the ac adaptor into the different wall outlet....good luck

Just to sum it up, are we talking about the Dell Inspiron 1750 or a Dell Inspiron 6000? Seeing two different things here. With the regards to the ac adapter, How "Warm"are we talking about here. 1 to 10. "1" 100 below 0 or "10" Nuclear Reactor Hot? Any adapters can get warm to the touch without overheating and frying. Was there a blackout or power outages in your area or T-Storm on the day you left. Take off the battery from the laptop. Check the battery lights. Do they flash or do they all light up when you press the button. With the laptop not working, lets hope the battery didnt fry the mainboard. Have you try to fire it up again after the adapter has a chance to cool down. By now, it should be fine, if you haven't use it.
You can also pick up the batteries less expensive than most computer places at batteries plus. And yes it sounds as though it is the batteries charge is getting low, especially if it runs fine when the battery is out and you have it plugged in.
