Re: jensen uv8 and amp hook up
Remote wire from Jensen is blue or blue/white. Use Blu/white if there is one. . RCA's, for subs, use the rear if no subwoofer pre-outs are available. If unit has sub pre-uts, use them as the head ubit (stereo) would have a level that can be raised or lowered thus giving you more control over the input to the sub amp.

It is probably going bad or there is a short.Just simply use a keyed on wire ( radio power is fine) for your sub amp turn on . In otherwords use a power sourde that only comes on when vehicle ignition is turned on. If you use one hot all the time your going to kill your battery, Good Luck !
You have the wrong wire hooked up to turn on your amplifire. You used the blue wire but need to use the Blue/White wire!! That is an amp turn on wire Thje blue one is for a power antenna and goes dead when you put in a disc. The tweeters play because they are hooked direct to your Jensen. You'll be jamming in no time.
They have it installed that way because they have signed a purchase agreement stating they will not bypass. If they do, they can lose the line.
Do this and you will never have to mess with the E Brake or any toggle ever again...:
1: Go into AM/FM mode 2: Hit "setup" on the remote control 3: Enter 543210 on the remote, listening for the beep for each number entered 4: A new menu will appear. Touch the button that has the hammer/screwdriver on it in the upper left-hand part of the screen. 5: Select Brake bypass to "ON" and hit the "X" near the bottom of the screen. 6: Use the unit wisely and above all safely. A ticket is one thing, causing a fatal accident due to negligence is another.
you have a factory amp in your vehicle so what you need to do is take out the uv8 and make sure the remote wire from the unit " blue and whit stripe " is connected to the remote wire of the car harness.
the way you have it now is the power antenna wire " solid blue " the is connected to the remote wire of the unit
