Question about Vizio VA26L 26 in. LCD HDTV

Vizio VA26LHDTV10T - No power, when first plugged in the Vizio logo lights up for a few seconds then goes out

TV was working fine for a couple years, all of a sudden it will not turn on. If I unplug it and plug it back in, the Vizio logo lights up for a second or two then goes dark. Tried the 'unplug and hold in power button' thing, no improvement. Looked at the caps on the power supply, no indication of bulging or leaking, although I know that doesn't necessarily mean they are all good. Any tips to start troubleshooting this would be appreciated.

There's a good chance you have failing electrolytic capacitors either in the power section or the inverter section or both.
Any caps in these sections that look bulged at the top, or bulged/leaking at the bottom need to be replaced.
If you repeatedly turn it off and on, eventually it'll probably stay on, but every time you turn it off, the TV will get harder and harder to start up until one day it just won't.
Sometimes you have to do the opposite to start it up and unplug it for some time and then try again.

If you aren't tech savvy, don't worry, read the rest of this solution and watch the videos.

If you are handy with a soldering iron and can identify the power supply and inverter / FM section for the backlights, an inexpensive handful of capacitors will likely fix you right up.
Match the capacitance on the capacitors. Go over voltage if you can, and still have them fit.
IE - it's not a bad idea to replace a 10V cap with a 16V or 25V or even a 50V, but don't replace a 680uF cap with a 500uF or a 1000uF (unless you are positive it's only doing ripple filtering, and even then, you should go OVER, not under the uF rating).

Most of the caps that go are 10V 1000uF or 3300uF.

I found some great videos of the procedure (for many Samsungs with the same issue) on youtube.

As you can see, this issue spans plasma TVs, as well as large and small LCD TVs and monitors.
The parts are cheap, and skill required is minimal.

How do I fix a vizio e320vp tv that turns on and then back off after about 20 seconds

Fault to its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

My Vizio E422VL was working fine. I moved it to another room and it continued to work fine. A few hours later the TV will not power up, no lighted Vizio logo on the front. The TV does have power becau

You may have a power board issue. It may have simply blown the internal fuse also. Couldn't hurt to check it? Moving it may have possibly jostled it? Especially if you get no 'Power light blibs' on and offs when you plug it in. Usually these flat panels have some power light diagnostics. Like 3 on/offs then full off says power supply.

Sounds like a problem in the power supply. Possible bad capacitors if you can have it checked out.

Vizio M261VP 26'' LCD TV no picture, logo does not light up

If the Vizio logo(power indicator) isn't coming on when the set is plugged in, most likely you have a issue with the power supply. Your standby power supply isn't working, and without it, you will have a dead set.
