Question about Odyssey Lstand Laptop Stand

Assembling Odyssey Lstand

I just bought the stand from Guitar Center it what seemed like an un opened box but there appears to be some screws missing.....after attaching the side and top of the stand together with the bars and 4 caps that screw on the outside to hold them in place (2 on each side) Im stuck trying to figure out how I screw on the U Clamps to the bottom of the stand. there are 2 wing nuts....but those two would be used up on one U clamp....and no screws long enough. am I missing pairs of screws and 2 more wing nuts? Also there are a bunch of tiny black screws....but these I'm assuming are to screw the long flat bottom "feet" should you want to use those instead of the clamps. Im looking for a parts list or assembly instuctions if possible. Thanks.

Lol....after reading your problem and then posting mine I had an idea. I went to youtube.com and found out that in order to hook up the U CLAMPS...you have to disconnect the table top attachment and connect the U Clamps to the short bases. You then dont need longer screws you use the little black screws that came with the stand. I went to Guitar Center after I did mine and confirmed that theirs was set up the same way....lol...LETS PARTY NOW !! This calls for a celebration party...lol GOOD LUCK AND TEAR THOSE PARTIES UP

Many try to use poor quality guitar cables and have the problem. The sleeve of the guitar cable plug turns on the battery in the guitar. Always loop the guitar cable through your belt or the guitar strap to avoid the cable wisting the plug in the guitar causing noise and WEAR that wears the plug sleeve to the point it no longer will activate the guitar.

Have you tried the guitar in another Mac/ PC? If it still doesn't appear, there may be a problem with the guitar electronics. If you bought it new, take it back to the shop/ send back to the vendor.

get a 3 way adapter,, plug your amp into the adapter, and secure the ground wire to the center screw in the receptical cover , or if it comes with a tab instead of a wire, secure that

Possible that the output tubes that were replaced are drawing too much current, hence the popping sound (may be "motorboating", one common word to describe a similar sound)

This means the tubes need to be biased properly. You need to get it to someone who knows what they are doing, ie a good amp tech, not GC. The voltages here are dangerous.

One can overtighten the input jack and "un-rivet" the jack. They are not made very well !!! OFTEN when they appear loose, they HAVE un-riveted the threaded sleeve from the metal inside the jack... that USUALLY requires REPLACEMENT of the jack itself.

The cabinet backs on a lot of these have to be PRIED out as the Tolex covering often makes them tight.

The amp portion is often retained by screws from the top and or sides AND even the two holding the handle on... there are many different configurations. Sometimes the amp comes out the front, sometimes the back. It is easy to shear off the speaker wires when removing some of them.

Normally on my stand like this you PULL the knob outward (not turn it) to disengage the pin from the plate with the holes in it... Works quite well and the stand is moree stable than many.

How do i repair my B.C. Rich guitar??

Guitar manufacturers use generally one of two different knob types: (1) knob has a small set screw of some type holding it on or (2) press fit onto the shaft of the tuneing pot (volume knob in your case).
Now, the problem is if it is NOT a set screw type, it is press fit. You see press fit used most of the time on lower-end instruments (and a few high end). The BEST way to get a stuck volume know off is to get a shoe string, loop part of it under the knob, brace the guitar firmly and PULL SLOWLY WITH FORCE. Realize that it is possible to damage the guitar if you **** on the string too hard.
I have never seen where a stuck know did not come off (or hear of someone breaking their guitar doing it).
I have also resorted to using a small screwdriver: work it way under the know and gently twist it to loosen it so it can be pulled off with a string or your hands.
Be carefull not to scratch your guitar!
Good luck,
-mike
