How do I disable alarm system?

If it is an add on/ aftermarket system take it to an agent / dealer who sell such units and get them to remove it completely. If you have had the ignition lock cylinder changed and the alarm system is facfory fitted you should have taken the car to them to have the lock cylinder and key coded to the car, that way the car would recognise the new hardware, i.e. the chip in the key and the transponder in the ignition, and would not initiate. As dar as your car can make out somebody is trying to steal it I think.
There are technicians and TECHNICHIANS. An auto electriciancum locksmith could have sorted this out for you in a shor rime probably. If you intend to use such a person check for references/revieews of his/her work

Good Luck

I had the positive battery end changed on my 2003 Toyota Corolla and when new ends were connected the alarm starts and won't stop...I can't turn it off by the remote....I can't even lock or unlock my doors...

Its possible the remote code was changed after install which required a learn and the learn was erased when battery power was lost.

If this is an add-on aftermarket alarm system, the best hope is that somewhere under the dashboard or near the left kickpanel by the floor you see/find a small button mounted there. This is usually the most common install for the override switch by most alarm installers. Turning the key to the ON position then pressing the button and holding for 2-5 seconds will shut the alarm down in most cases if it has such a button.
If it does not have a button, or this is a factory alarm system, its possible the alarm control module fuse has blown or the module itself is stuck or failed, or the receiver for the remote is not seeing the remote. Recheck the connections at the battery, if its an add-on alarm there may have been a constant power loop attatched to the cable that is required to power the receiver/module and was accidentally left off. checking all fuses may also yield a blown fuse that feeds the alarm system controls.

Iam installing a code alarm elite 1100 in a chevy truck with man windows and door locks. my question is do i need to hook up the door trigger wires or just the ullim wire?

Yes, you will need to connect the yellow negative door trigger wire to the vehicle's white wire at the courtesy light. Otherwise the system will not trip if the doors were opened while the system was armed. The illuminated entry wire is optional. If you desire the illuminated entry feature you will need to add a relay for this option to work. When using a SPDT (Bosch/Tyco type) relay, the terminals should be wires as follows:

30 = to vehicle white wire
87 = to chassis ground
87a = no connection
85 = to alarm violet illuminated entry wire
86 = 12V constant (fused, no more than 5A)

The APS9076 is a OEM add-on remote start module only and not an alarm. Are you trying to add or find a remote to an existing Prestige alarm or installing one?
