Question about Delta & Single Handle Shower Faucet
My Delta shower was leaking so I recently replaced the full cartridge. Now the shower makes a whining noise when hot water is flowing. I tried another shower head, same problem. I tried removing the shower head all together, same problem. Any plumbers have a suggestion of what to try next? There was no noise when I had the old cartridge. Thanks for any advice.

You might have to replace the tub spout, because the divirter is not closing all the way. A new one will stop water from getting by it.

You may want to replace the ball or cartridge whichever the case may be. Also be sure to use Genuine Delta parts as they will hold up much better than the aftermarket parts. I hope this helps.
