It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

SOURCE: boot of the front loader washer

not nessacerily, the bopot off would create leaks not noise, you can remove the lower aceess panel(3 screws across the bottom of unit) and have a look inperhaps one or more of the suspension/shock absorbers) has let loose

SOURCE: Maytag A511 washer tub vibration

The tub should not become unbalanced over time. There suspension springs may wear unevenly, however. Replace all of the suspension springs and it should be fine.

Model WMA 520W about 4 years old. I loaded the drum unevenly. Now, on the spin, the machine vibrates and makes a loud banging noise. Grateful for advice whether it is worth seeking to get it repaired -...

Adjust your washer's front legs and lock the nut, it has another nut to do this. After you hav locked the legs, try to rock the washer with your hands, it should not rock. Another thing to check will be inside your washer, after taking the power off the wall socket. Check to see if some springs or the shocks (dampers) have come loose. This normally happens when the load is not even, that is when you hav a big sheet in one part of the washer tub. Mix the big and small clothes. Hope your spider arm is not broken, it is a big job. You can check this by turning your empty drum by hand, if it is totally out smoothness & wobbles, you may be in trouble.

To see if washer is firm: hold the front portion of the washer, the 2 corners and try to shake it, if it does not move, it is fine. Surf this site for local repair.

My kenmore elite washer has a very loud banging noise when it spins

U will need to remove the washer drum and check the washer drum stablizers and the washer drum bearing, do this to see what is wrong and how far u need to go in this repair.First open the door and spin the inner tub to make sure the tub spins freely, if not you have big problems.

If it does then remove the lower front panel. There are 3 screws along the very bottom of this panel that you can remove and then the panel will come off. Check to make sure the shocks are not cracked or broken under the tub. If not and the unit just recently started shaking a lot, then replace the shocks as they are probably worn out. If it's been shaking since the day you've gotten it and it just seems to have gotten a little worse, then purchase Shake Away pads which are specifically designed for front load washers to sit under the feet of the washer and reduce vibration dramatically.

Loose drum bangs during spin cycle turn by hand with nothing in drum and still bangs?

your front drum support blocks have failed. remove the tub and, replace or, rebolt them in place so they hold the drum front in place.

Check the block. This is the part that the tub sits on. It is tightened down with a spanner nut

Tub wobbles terrably in spin mode

Try lifting the inner drum to check if there is any movement between the inner and outer drums, also turn the drum and listen for any grinding or scraping sound from the rear of the drum. Its possible that your bearings have gone out & need to be replaced. The job is far from easy.

when a machine gets old it is always normal for the vibration and banging to occur, then, after the vibration it settled down smoothly.this is due to worn fan belt .bearings worn out and the preasure on the spindle.so dont get alarm .but you will soon have to replace the washer as the banging and the vibration will get worse eventually.or change the fan belt.and replace bearings.which can be done by a qualified personel.good luck.

Terrible scraping noise from drum, what is it?

more likely there is a bra wire caught between the inner drum and outer tub, possibly wrapping itself around the element in the bottom.
