Question about Dell Optiplex GX620 Pentium 4 3.4GHz (Open Box Product, Limited Availability, No Back Orders) (248246839OB) PC Desktop
I'm looking for a permanent solution here. I never requested Yahoo messenger in the first place!
Go into Control Panel and click remove programs. If will be listed there. Just highlight it and click delete. Or highlight it and press uninstall.

SOURCE: Voice chat for Yahoo Messenger
Sounds like you don't have the trueSpeech codec installed
download it using the link given below and save it on your desktop:
right click on the downloaded VistavoiceFix.exe file and select Run as administrator and install it.
Reboot your computer to complete the installation.
Start messenger and go to chat room and try to do a voice chat..Should work fine..
tell me if that works.

2.Open registry editor, make a backup of your registry.
3. Search through the registry for yahoo and delete all yahoo entries
4. reinstall yahoo messenger
5. sign into your yahoo mail account, and change your password
