Put a DROP of alcohol or WD-40 on top of those keys and let it drip down into the key base. These 2 keys get sticky because they are seldom used.

SOURCE: I have a SFX-11 fax

Stopping in the middle of receiving a fax and the display going blank is a good indication that the circuit stopped functioning.
Try dialing out and you should hear the beeps as you press the buttons.
Or ask somebody to call you to see if it rings or not.

The rest is obvious. :)

I want to change the size of the paper from 81/2 x 11 to 11 x 14. I am unable to locate any tools that will let me do that. I am trying to create a 4 section brochure and want to use larger paper.

To make changes in the paper sizes , you have go to the "Printer Properties" to do that.
Go to "Printers & Faxes" -> Select the printer you are using, right-click and click properties to open the printer properties dialog box to make your paper sizes click OK.

Hope it helps.

How to put the paper in the printer?

Loading Paper
1 Adjust the guides to the position for the paper size you are using.
2 Fan the paper well.
Push down the paper lever. Load the paper (with the lever down). Make sure the print side is toward the fax machine and the paper level is stacked below the paper mark. The feeder can hold up to 200 sheets of paper, or up to 10
envelopes.
Acceptable Paper
The FAX/MFC can handle paper that has the following specifications.
But please note that you can receive fax messages only on Letter, Legal and A4 paper. If you use legal or A4, change the Paper Size setting: (Menu/Set, 1, 1.)
Paper Type Paper Size
Cut sheet Letter, A4, Legal, B5, A5, Executive,
Custom size 2.75-8.5 × 5-14 inches (70-216 × 127-356 mm)

When sending fax on recievers end all the writing is downsized

Try sending a fax to someone else and see if it does the same thing.!
If your sending a 14" page to someone who only has 11" paper in the machine....the machine can only do one of 2 things...reduce the 14" page to fit on 11" paper "OR" print 11" on 1 page then the 3" on the second page....this setting is controlled by the rxing machine.

Not receiving faxes

Folio is not what you want. The usual is letter (LTR) or 8.5 x 11. You may have to check the settings to set the default paper size.
