Question about HP Recertified - Pavilion Slimline S5-1204 QW793AARABA Desktop PC
Windows 7, Home Premium - SP1, 4 gb memory, 64 bit OS I have been burning DVD+R's with Nero 10 and Windows DVD maker for the the last year, no problem. The last two months it burns with no errors but skips really bad 75% into the DVD durring playback. Both Windows and Nero, converting AVI to VOB or straight DVD files have same issue. My best geuss is a dirty burner or ram? 4 gigs should be plenty. Could DVD+R be the wrong type of DVD? the peculiar thing is the first 2/3's plays perfect...

SOURCE: Hi : I have a HP
Your dvd drive is not capable of burning a dual layer disc. You need to have a burner that is capable of sending the laser through to the second layer of the disc. That said you can get a DL burner for around 30 dollars. Click HERE to see one from Newegg.com.
I am not sure what you mean by 'burns, flip, burn dvds.' but if you make another comment I will respond.

As you may be aware, Movie Maker doesn't natively burn DVDs. Or Video CDs (VCDs), which are playable by any DVD Players, but are of significantly lower quality than DVD.
What do you need to into DVD? How about MyDVD is the easiest and direct route, requiring little or no format conversion.

Hope this might help you a lot.
Please rate me, Thank You.

Windows 7 will not open files or anything else that you have backed up. The backup is to RESTORE files and programs that have gotten damaged due to a hard drive crash. You want to save things to a cd/dvd just use file copy not backup. Like i said backup is NOT for file storage. Hope this helps
