My monitor is working fine. The lcd blue light that shows the power is on to the monitor, however, is not. I just noticed it one day. I did recently hook my monitor and wireless keyboard/mouse to a KVM. what gives?

Re: Blue LCD power light not working
This is just an led burnout. lots of us think that these don't burn out but, they do in rare cases. to replace this, you will have to repackage and mail this monitor back to the manufacture for repair.

hi the cause is screen back light not working properly. you need to remove the back cover of the monitor to access the internal part of the monitor. then look for the connector of the cold cathode fluorescent tube back light going to the power inverter board of the back light you will noticed a dry joints which cause a loose connection that is why you hear a sound that cause of spark. you need to re soldered the connector or replaced if totally burned.
If you can solder you may be able to repair your power supply. We have some pictures and repair guides on our web site at: www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm The pictures show what bad capacitors look like, you can take a look at your power board and see if there are any bad caps on it. If so if you replace the caps you should be back going. If you want to send us a few pictures of your boards in the monitor, taken as close and clear as possible I may be better able to spot the problem caps.

A blinking blue light indiactes that your power-inverter board is not
putting out what it should. It needs an overhaul which may be a simple
as changing out the capacitors on the boards.
It could go beyong that to transistors or even a bad bulb.
It will have to be opened up to do that.
A picture may show visual signs of damage. If you can take one and email it to me , I'll take a look.
Try your Fujiplus monitor on another pc see if it still have the same problems. If not, then your Macbook it the caused. You say, you replaced a new hard drive? Did you formatted and reinstalled the Mac software? If not, of course you will got a blue light...cuz the new drive had nothing in it.
