Heater has low voltage and will not run

Attach black on meter, or ground clamp on test light to good ground such as cooper line. Test for 12vdc at gas valve when switch turned on and you hear or see ignitor sparking. If no 12vdc, backtrack. Follow red wire from gas valve to (ECO), (both terminals,) then same to thermostat (THERM) . If you get 12vdc on one side, and 6vdc or no voltage on the other, replace it. If you've got 12vdc going to gas valve, and don't feel or hear it "Click" when trying to ignite, try a quick "rap" on valve to see if it's stuck. If valve is opening and you hear gas, but no ignition, clean burner tube good and retry.

@I think I have a fuel leak on my 92 Chev Cavalier, I think it is on the top of the motor but not sure, but I can smell gas and I am not getting very good gas miledge

look on the fuel rail(top of engine metal lines that connect to the fuel injectors)on the fuel
rail you will see a valve. there will be a fuel line screwed into the valve & a vacuum hose
it may also have a schaider valve on it for testing fuel pressure
this is the fuel pressure regulator. remove the vacuum hose & see if it is wet/gas
replace the valve if gas is in vacuum hose

its also a good idea to change the oil & filter because excess gas will end up in engine oil

I have a Kenmore gas dryer model 110.77670400. The ignitor lights, but gas valve doesn't open. I tested thermal switches in back for continuity and all checked good. Flame sensor is good and I replaced...

Hi,

Thank you for contacting fixya.com.

If one or more of the coils are defective, the valve doesn't open and the gas cannot ignite. Because it's often difficult to properly test the coils, it's usually best to replace both (all) of them at the same time. However unplug your Kenmore gas dryer from its electrical outlet. Make sure that all electricity has been disconnected from your dryer.

Turn off the gas valve that supplies gas to your Kenmore gas dryer. Remove the gas flex line at the shut-off valve using an adjustable wrench.

Remove your dryer's back panel. Take out the screws on the back of the dryer and the panel will come free. Set the panel and screws aside until you are ready to replace them.

Locate the thermal fuse between the dryer's blower housing and exhaust. The thermal fuse looks like a white plastic strip with two connected wires.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

1987 ford ranger v6 EFI doesnt seem to be getting gas to the cylinders to fire?

Is there gas in the vehicle? Not funny, could be a faulty fuel gauge! If known to have fuel, under the hood ( with the key on) find the fuel rail test valve(looks like a tire air valve) push in the needle(wear safety glasses)if gas comes out you know your getting gas that far.(also check fuses for fuel pump etc.) Need to install a fuel gauge on the test valve and check pressure. If pressure is O.K. need to check fuses for injectors(pulse) Good luck best regards.

Having difficulty filling gas tank of my 2004 Suburban at gas station. The gas pump constantly clicks off. Cannot fill at normal speed. I have recently had the check engine light appear -- stating that...

You may have a fuel tank vent valve that isn't working. This valve lets air into and out of the fuel tank as fuel is added to the tank and then later used by the engine. If the valve won't open or is plugged with dirt/dust/debris then it's becomes very difficult to add fuel to the tank. This problem would also cause the EVAP system to fail a self test and turn on the check engine lamp with a related service code. Often there is more than one reason a particular code like this can be set, a loose fuel cap being just one of them, and it takes a bit of testing to determine the exact cause. A good service facility should be able to test the system and determine what is wrong fairly easily on this one. Good luck, hope this helps.

Water coming out of stem valve on top of intake on 86 corvette

If it was water that came from the valve, and If you can identify the stem valve as a valve on the fuel injection rail or line, then yes , you have water in your gas, and no, it is not normal for water to come out of this valve. If the valve is , in fact, connected to the fuel injection system, it is likely the test valve where a pressure gage is hook up to test the pressure of the fuel going into the fuel injection.
Depending on just how much water is in the system, try several treatments of dry gas, or you just may have to have the fuel tank drained.
Good Luck!

No heat

Parts that must be tested are igniter, gas valve and thermal fuse.

If there is no spark and fuse is good then the igniter must be replaced. Thermal fuse is tested using a multimeter.
If it is none of the above then usually the valve is faulty.
