Question about Sewing Machines
My daughter used my sewing machine. By mistake the fabric got stuck and she pulled it so hard that the feed dogs dropped and now I can not fix them. What can I do I really love this machine.
The machine needs to be checked to see if the feed dogs broke
or were damaged

Open the door infront of the hook race assembly/bobbin carrier and check to the right of that. There is a chrome lever which engages with slots in the plastic casing. The correct position for this is as far to the left as it will go. If it is to the right furthest extent it will disengage the feed dogs. It should disengage automatically but if has not, press the lever down and slide it to the left. Good luck

Pull out the removable table and you will see the drop down feed dogs switch lever behind the back of the machine. Move that lever to the left or right to have feed dogs go back to normal sewing mode OR for embroidery mode.

Sometimes there is a lot of lint build-up in the feed dog, it may want to move, but it can't because of the dust. Remove dust before you oil!
