Question about HP Pavilion dv2000t Notebook
I have a dv2000 laptop. It has a blank screen display problem. When I switch on the laptop, there is display for some time and then,I get a blank/blank screen.I tried connecting to external monitor.display is fine. Could it be the problem with my inverter/flex cable/LCD?
I suggest you dismantle your laptop and take a look at the LCD cable behind the screen and make sure it is click locked.

Testimonial: "Thank you for the reply.I dismatled the Laptop monitor and saw that the cable running from the monitor to the keyboard broke near the hinge.I googled and found that this wire is the wifi cable.IS that true that my display wont work if the wifi cable is not working? or could there be some other problem?"
The symptom that you describe can be form three part.
This happen more offen is when the ram is damage. Change the ram and see what happen. Or if you have to slot of ram can remove one and than check the other. a see what hapen.
The graphic card chip.
This issue normally happen when the laptop is overheated. So if your are working with the laptop and it overheat it with turn off automatically but can be damage the graphic chip. In this case you can resolve this open the laptop and heat it with heat gun.
(this section you need to be carefully)
Need to check if the problem is with the cable that connect the screen of withe the screen itself. if you start the laptop and it look start normally and you listen the song of windows start it mean that the problem is with the screen.

I have a problem with my hp laptop monitor's hinges, could you link where you were able to purchase those hinges?
Also, make sure you monitor's ribbon cable isn't missing any wires or that all of those wires are fully contacting.

I had the same problem faced twice in one month, and it’s a new laptop just one month old,
I have removed battery for for few minutes and fixed it back. And it's working fine now.
If it continues what should I do?

SOURCE: No display on hp laptop
Well, believe it or not. It's good news that it still works with the external monitor. That means it is not the video card which is embedded in the motherboard and is very expensive to fix. Here is a link to disassemble instructions for your motherboard. Scroll down till you see the dv9000's that should be your laptop. Good luck

Disconnect all devices from the power supply EXCEPT the motherboard
Remove any extra cards including video etc.(plug monitor into the onboard)
If you hear any beeps these can indictate where the fault is.
either of these sites below will help you further with that
Beep codes Pc
More beep codes
Power up the pc and see if the fans are working.
If not then double check the power connections to the board.
If you still have no fans it is time to suspect the power supply as the probable cause.
If the fans worked then you should have gotten a display which told you there was an error and offering you a chance to go into the BIOS. ignore it and shut down the PC.
Now connect one drive only and boot again.
Repeat that until you identify the component that is giving you a problem.
Once you find the problem then remove or disconnect and carry on with the rest to see if another component might also cause a problem
If there is only one problem device then you may want to investigate that device further, Unless you don't mind replacing it
Hope this gives you the information you need
