When i press open to make the flip screen come out, it shows a brief display, then snaps back and keeps clicking

Does it stay out and click or when you say snaps back do you mean it's going back inside the deck and then clicks? If it stays out and clicks then the motor is not getting the signal from the limit switch telling t that it's all the way out. That switch will make the motor stop running, the clicking you hear is the motor gears slipping passed each other, they have a set up that will allow the gears to slip without breaking the teeth off of them. If it's quickly gong back inside the unit, it's sensing that the screen is either jamming up or hitting something that is keeping it from opening fully. It is not opening to the point that the switch I mentioned earlier has been clicked by the screen and the deck has safety features built in to make sure that it will not be jamming the screen to anything and possibly causing any damages to it or to you car. If it's going in and clicking afterwards that would mean that the return switch has not been tripped and could be a bad switch. Again the motor gears will be slipping. would check to make sure the screen is not touching anything on it's way out, i'm willing to bet it is. If you cannot see any problems then it may be mounted in such a way that the deck has pressure on it and is binding on the case as the screen's being pushed out and causing the motor to slip. You could remove the deck and test it on a bench to see if it works whiile not mounted in the car.

I installed a kenwood dnx 7180 in a 2009 jeep wrangler x, with a pac c2r-chy4. everything seems to work great except i do not hear any voice promt from the navigation, just hear the music mute. checked the...

It's your c2r-chy4. You need to hook the front speaker output from the nav to the rear input of the c2r. I had the same problem. The c2r only receives input through the rear speaker wires (purple green) Don't ask me why they did it this way but it's a common problem with this adapter. The nav sends it's voice promps through the front speakers only that's why you cant hear them. Connect the white speaker wires from the deck to the green of the c2r and the gray to the purple. Cap off all remaing wires. You loose the fader but oh well. Enjoy!

Bypass break switch wire

You can find the owner's manual here:
http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/105/105KDNX500.PDF

You need to connect your light green parking brake wire to a source of ground. This can be the black wire on your head unit or a nearby screw connected to the vehicle chassis.

Please consider your local laws before making this modification. It is illegal in many places to have video playing where the driver can view it.

Connect the hand break wire (light green) to the ground wire (black). It tells the system the hand break is up and even movies work :) .

Pioneer AVIC-F900BT settings menu and Navi setting

Hi

I sent just yesterday mail of similar problem. But after some time in internet, I found a tip, which helped me to solve the problem. The only thing to do is just ground the light green wire. If You have joined the wire to handbrake, You have to have Your handbrake on. Actually the manual says something like "some functions are not available", when the instructions to these wires are given. After this mine F900BT is working great!
