Question about Bernina Sewing Machines
The wheel started to squeek and then turn really hard, finally it stopped moving altogether. When I peer throught the thread take up hole I can see a place where thread is twisted around. It looks as if it has jammed the turning mechanism. I would like to take the back off and try to clear the twisted thread. I took 4 screws from the back and 2 from the hand wheel. It still is held together on the bottom left side. I would like to take this panel off.

SOURCE: balance wheel is totally jammed
machine was working fine when suddenly it just jammed up. Everything seems to be fine, but the balance wheel is completely jammed rigid. I've looked at the shuttle and there are no thread jams at all. The needle moves fine from side to side with different stitch selections, but wont go up and down with the wheel.
I have tried looking in the machine, but I can't find any thread jammed.
