Question about Kenmore Elite 45986 Front Load Washer
Ihave unplugged and plugged back on to socket. Still all electronics dark
Possible that the interruption could have reset the processor or memory. Allow the machine to be off power for a long time , even overnight. Press down all panel buttons and check if there is any moisture within the panel. IF so use a dryer to warm off.
Now connect the washer while holding the start/stop/pause button, If there is no display at all then check the main power to the board and also the sub-voltages within the board. If not it is possible that the board has failed.

SOURCE: Control Panel
I believe the DRAIN/SPIN button on the Kenmore Elite HE3 will clear a locked control panel if you hold the button in for 3 seconds. This is actually a safety feature to keep small children from playing with the buttons and allows the consumer to lock the control panel. I hope that's all the problem you have and that it is not a control panel failure. Let me know if this helps. PS The matching Kenmore Elite Dryer uses the AUTO DRY LEVEL button for the same feature.

I suggest you first take a clean, white cloth wetted with a stronger solvent such as 'Oops,' carburator or brake cleaner (with these two, DON"T overspray, they will damage plastic and paint) and wipe the drum inside to make sure there is not some gunk adhering that is gradually depositing itself with each wash cycle.
If you have a shade-tree mechanic in the family, they may have gotten a gob of grease on clothing that transfered to the inside of your machine.
If you don't find enough on the cloth to have caused the problem, I think you have lost a seal on the drum-side of the transmission.

Try unplugging the washer for at 30 minutes to reset the computer, first. If this proves unsuccessful, you can retrieve you clothes by using the manual release. The following link explains how:
Once you retrieve your clothes, try running diagnostics on it. You can envoke the diagnostic sequence by selecting DRAIN/SPIN, NO/SPIN and then pressing any button under OPTIONS 4 times (must be the same button). The display should go to "C00" as the washer begins a sequence of tests that checks the fill functions, door lock, dispenser functions, motor speed, spin and drain. Allow the washer to run through the entire sequence and shut off. If anything is wrong an error code should be generated. Hopefully, all you had was a minor glitch. Let me know how things turn out. I hope this helps you.

looks like you have a defective motor or a leaked load capacitor .....you need to get the motor rewired....or get a new motor for your washer..... have the capacitor checked....
